1st Prize. C ompetition entry for an itenerant exhibition on the Azores.
August 2024,
I am proud to announce that we won the exhibition design competition for “Exposição Itinerante: Concursos de Arquitetura”, organized by OASRAZO in collaboration with Inês Nepomuceno.
Our proposal demonstrates a thoughtful and integrated approach, aligning curatorial narrative, exhibition design, and editorial work to communicate the projects in a clear, efficient, and visually engaging way. The concept of the archipelago, used as the curatorial foundation, reflects a spatial organization into distinct clusters representing the competitions independently yet interconnectedly, like islands that are part of a whole.
The choice of a modular system for the exhibition supports highlights a focus on functionality and sustainability, allowing the elements to be adaptable to different spaces and reusable, promoting flexibility and resource efficiency.
Furthermore, the use of the color blue as a symbolic and unifying element reinforces the connection with the maritime theme, providing aesthetic cohesion between the exhibition and the catalog. This decision not only evokes the sea as part of the archipelago but also invites reflection on the significance of this element for the identity of the projects presented.
